keep refining first. we have the most popular notation format already (well, arguably second most since .mids are used in much more well known commercial products...) and it's very easy to convert most things to that anyway.
online play DOES sound like a lot of fun, but given the number of people using this project as of today, i think that can wait.
what I want to see most:
get rid of that damn lag
fix the 3.5 minute crash
fix the can't hold down lower fret while playing higher note bug
make chart2unsigned perfect
fix the can't play drums on anything but expert bug.
add multiple instruments to one keyboard (so we can use joy2key for ps2/3 instrument local multiplayer)
add mappable keys
playability should be the #1 concern. graphics are great but if you can't play it very well, what's the point _________________ Working on:

No one wants online play?
Aw...
I think we should have a team to do graphics, so you don't have to work on it yourself.
And charts can be converted to mid/mid can be converted to chart, so we don't really need Mid support(it would make it easier though)
I think you should just go to what the poll says, but this game needs to have a bigger fanbase. _________________ I wanna be a guitar hero!

I say just perfect what there is so far. Like kevinin said above, there's still some problems with it. And that weird mess up in the conversion process really needs to be looked at. _________________ Disclaimer: We should all hope and look towards the day where man realizes the sounds exiting his mouth are mostly complaints and a change occurs. |

I won't argue with the bigger fanbase. I would love to see these forums have 1k+ members. Unfortunately, until we get a decent fanbase, online play wont be that much fun. You will have to pre-plan games.
Also, before Unsigned can go online, I need to get some donations for a "matchmaking server" Otherwise it will end up being like the old 90s games where you enter the IP address of the person you want to play with. _________________ Louis Ingenthron

The idea of a graphics team is good, I'll help. Right now I think the focus should be on refining the program and smoothing out errors, then making things look nicer. Features like online play would be nice, but they aren't as important as a good program (the base for everything else). _________________

I don't know what you are doing wrong then. I think you are the only one crashing at startup still. Try reinstalling the software in the Big FAQ thread. _________________ Louis Ingenthron

| Done. I installed the DirectX 9.0c (the one you specified) and I reinstalled the Net 2.0 SP1, and the XNA Studio thingy (the one w/o Visual C# SP1) |
